All in Pink

Not much crafting done today but I did manage to create just one little card this evening whilst listening to 60’s music ready for a showtime of 60’s music on Thursday evening. Funny how the words come back to you, even though 60’s is not really my era, I’m more of a 70’s girl.

So here is my card:

Sorry the lighting is rubbish but you get the idea. This is a Sugar Nellie image called Sitting Nellie which I’ve colour with Promarkers.

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Have a good evening.

Hoppy Birthday

Yay and finally it’s the month of March and a bit of sunshine giving you a feeling of Spring in the air. Time to get the seeds out and start of the veggie growing.

Today I made a birthday card using yet another Penny Black image called Too Many Candles, which I coloured with Brusho’s. I used a Gelly Roll  pen to glitter the flames on the candles and Stickles crystal for the centre of the poppy like flowers.

I’d like to enter this card into the following challenges:

That’s all for now.

Saturday Afternoon Crafting

It’s the arrival of storm Jorge here in Dorset, so a good excuse to craft all afternoon and stay warm and dry.

This card is for all occasions as I have avoided a sentiment in the front. So can be for birthdays, Mother’s Day, get well, well done, well I think you get the idea.

I’ve used a Penny Black image called You’re the Bestest, which I’ve used Brusho’s to colour except for the brown colour which was Tim Holtz distress ink antique linen, and vintage photo.

Having just discovered Brusho’s (I’m behind the times) and love experimenting with them. It’s so magical.

Brrrrr...PPPPenguins Line Up

Yes I’m still on my ‘Christmas Card’ mission.

Image is from Penny Black called ‘Carolling Penguins’ stamped in black ink and coloured with Promarkers. I tried to create a Christmas moon in the background. Added a Christmas button and a red gem. Die cut swirls, icicles and a snowflake. Backing paper from stash.

Anything Goes.

So I’m staying on target on building my stock of Christmas cards. I usually leave it to the last minute.....but not this year!

To make this card I have used a House Mouse stamp which is called Mice Snowball. It’s another cute image from those critters. I’ve used Promarkers to colour, sentiment stamps are from Crafters Companion, I’ve used corner dies from Memory Box called Snowflake Corner. Used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Antique Linen to age it slightly.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges:

Pretty In Pink

I found a huge box of stamped and digi images which I was clearly intending to colour.......eventually.

This cute digi image was on the top and for the life of me I cannot think who this image belongs too but got a feeling it was Saturated Canary or something like that but anyway isn’t she so cute.

I have kept the colour palette pink and I’m entering this card into the following challenges:

Can’t wait for Spring

I don’t know what the weather is like in your part of the world, but here in Dorset England we have  very blustery, rainy and sometimes sunny weather BUT it is cold and I cant wait for Spring time.

Here is a card which reminds me very much of Spring. The image is from Penny Black called Bee Costume and has been colour with Promarkers. I’ve added a little glitter to the wings and headband. The backing paper is from 🤷‍♀️, again I’m not sure, and the flower is from stash.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges:

Hope the weather is kind to you wherever you are.

❤️Love is in the Air ❤️

It’s that romantic time of the year for some of us. It’s the hearts flowers, and Chocolates season.

I’ve created a card which would suit any romantic occasion. I’ve used a Penny Black stamped called ‘Squeeze till I Squeak’. Cute right! The backing paper is from 🤷‍♀️ but it’s called Up and Away. I stamped the sentiments with an alphabet stamp collection from Image Tree.

Create Your Own Background

Still experimenting with my gel plate and ink I thought this next challenge would be good practise.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge is Make Your Own Background.

I used the gel plate, Versa Fine ink pads and Brusho’s to create the background behind the stamped image. The stamped image is from Penny Black and called ‘Beehave’ which I’ve coloured with Promarkers. I then stamped the card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tattered Rose and used a background stamp that resembles hessian.

http://craftyanimals.blogspot.com/2020/02/challenge-35.html

I’ve used Promarkers to colour the image and sadly I can’t tell you who this image belongs to as I found in the bottom of the drawer without it’s packaging but if anybody knows please let me know.

Fairy and Mystical

Looking through my stash I came across this little girl with butterfly wings but I’m not sure who this was may by as it’s not in its original packaging. To my mind I think it could have been Sugar Nellie but I might have that wrong.

P P P Penguin Challenge Alert!

Yep, another Christmas card. I’m loving all these challenges that are helping me to get my Christmas cards completed so early. It’s also helping me with airing my old stamps that have been stacked away for some years. How refreshing on a lovely sunny February day, good bye to the January blues.

Anything Goes

Staying with the Christmas cards, today I created another one! I bought this stamp a few years back in a sale and have never used it. I love it. It is so versatile and I think this will be one of my favs for this year.

Another Christmas Card!

I’m here again, however I’m not doing too well with the gel plate at the moment but I’m not going to give up. I need more ink pads and less interruptions from people calling out my name every ten minutes as it ruins the creative flow! Oh to be on my own just for a couple of hours.

I’ve created the following card using the gel plate to create the back ground and I’ve not used the traditional colours for Christmas (due to waiting for some new ink pads). The tree and deer stamp came free from a magazine (a long time ago) and the foliage is from Lavinia.

How pleased was I when the following challenge popped up on my blog. I was a DT many moons ago, so I’m delighted to enter this card into C.R.A.F.T. challenge - Christmas.

Two Postings in One Day!

Well this is unheard of........another posting in the same day. I know it might be a bit much, but I thought strike while the iron is hot, or rather carry on crafting whilst I have all my inks, stamps and glitter everywhere. It means I only have to clear up once and who knows what tomorrow brings. It’s how we roll here!

I’m already thinking about making lots of Christmas cards this year and here is the first.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge

I was amazed when I got out my Promarkers, which I haven’t used in an age, how good they still worked. I’ve had them for years.

Since I discovered Lavinia stamps and the Gel Plate, it’s inspired me to take up card making again. I’ve revisited all my old stamps, some have been shoved in old carrier bags, but I’ve lovingly pulled them back out and wondered how I could have done such a thing. They all have a new lease of life now.

This was and still is one of my favourite stamps. It’s from Stamps Happen and is called Falling Softly. I’ve used Promarkers to colour the image and Tim Holtz Distress Ink pad  faded Jeans to shade the edges and just a touch of Sunshine from an old Whispers ink pad, which must be 15years old.

I’m entering this card into the Passion for Promarkers challenge child/children image.

My First Challenge

This year I’ve decided to enter some challenges like I did some years ago. I’ve missed doing this and to be honest forgotten how to do it but here it goes.

I’m entering the following card into the Penny Black challenge ‘Make it Feminine’. I forgotten how to use the links but I’ll give it a try.

This stamp I’ve had for quite a few years and it’s called ‘Burst of Stars’. The background I’ve stamped it onto was created by myself with Brusho’s, and new discovery to me and love to play with.
