New Year of Blogging

It's a Happy New Year to all, and I don't usually make 'new year resolutions' but this time I thought I would, and it is to try and enter more 'blog candy's' and hopefully show more of our work....so let's wait and see how well that works out?!?!?. Pop back tomorrow and see if we've made that fresh start to 2010. Lol.
Have fun. Jeanette & Michelle

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Well where has the time gone. Both myself and mum have been busy beavering away making books, cards, bags and getting ready for Christmas. We've also been doing lots of school Fayre's this year and mum doing Wimborne Market, that we haven't had the chance to update our blog. So I decided to have break from all the card making (yes still making my own cards for friends and family) and present wrapping to put some items we've been making over the last month.

We like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to everyone who visits our blog and to all our customers we've had at various events this year and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

What great socks

When mum went to Las Vegas back in September, she brought me home a gift. These socks. How cool are these! Scrapbooking Girl Socks. Never seen anything like this before so just had to share with you all. Thank You Mum. xxx

Flower Jute Bags

I made a bag recently like the one's above in the pinks and red for my nappy gift bag gift set and done a local Pre-school Christmas fayre where a lovely lady brought the bag own its own for a gift. This spurred me on to make some more like it. I'd had lots of lovely comments from people to say how lovely they were and I am now making them to sell on their own. But mum also loved them so much she asked me to make one for a friend of hers as a Christmas present. I also decided to make some for both mine and Blue's nan's for Christmas presents too. Here are the finished production of bags. I hope you like them. Michelle. xx

Harley's creative moments

Today Harley has had a very busy day. This morning Mummy, Nanny and Little Brother Lucas went and watch Harley in his first Nativity play at his pre-school. He done very well joining in with the singing and actions to the songs and sat beautifully. Mummy's very proud of you Harley. This afternoon we went to the "Big Tesco" as Harley says to buy some ingredients for our magical reindeer dust. We made some party bags for our local tots group we go to on a Tuesday afternoon, as its their Christmas party tomorrow. Our bags are made up of some magical reindeer dust and a Christmas shaped biscuit made by Harley this afternoon. We were lucky to get some lovely decorated bags from our friend Janette. Thank you Janette.

At the beginning of December myself and Harley started to get the Christmas spirit going in our house. We been busy making cards for the family. I won't show Harley's as it will spoil the surprise for nanny. But will put on at later date for you all to see. We've also been colouring Christmas pictures and have made window decorations. (This one is for you Vicky, take you back down memory lane) Harley painted a lovely Christmas tree and stuck lots of decoations he coloured and lots of glitter, whilst mummy painted a murual of Bob the Builder and Iggle Piggle (from in the night garden). We hope you like our creations. Harley and Michelle. xx

Christmas Cards

I have been busy beavering away making Christmas cards for the family and some friends last week. Alot I've had to post. Still got loads more to make and running out of time rapidly. The images are from several digital sets I brought earlier this year. And have loved making cards with these this year. Some of the papers are left over from last year and alot I've used from a garage sale. I'm addicted to using ribbon at the moment. They been making a lovely finishing touch to the cards I've made.

These cards I made for Blue's nan's. I used my nestabilities for these. The stickers are actually from an old craft magazine from last year. Found them whilst having a sort out. The papers and ribbon are from Janette's garage sale. I love these papers and I'm very pleased with how they turned out.

This card was for Blue's parents. I love these images that I brought ealier this year. I've used papers I got from a friend's garage sale (Janette). Hope you like. Michelle. xx

Christmas Cards

I've been busy keeping up our stock for Christmas cards ready for our Fayre's we have coming up. These images I got from my friend Vicky who showed me a website to purchase them from. I've had them for what feels like forever and only just got around to having a play with them. I've used glamour dust and glossy accent on the images. Most of papers and embellishment's are from Janette's garage sale's. My favourite two are the top two. I may have to try and do a similar Fiance card for Blue. I hope you like them. Chelle x

More Christmas Cards

Here are a few more of my cards I've been busy making. Sorry for the side view of one card. Don't know why it does this.Keeps happening (Note to self. Must look into it) Hope you like. Chelle x

Snowmen Melt Your Heart

I bought this stamp last Sunday at a craft fair at Ringwood from the 'Dorset Stampers' who sell lots of 2nd hand stamps each year there. It was very difficult to get to the table as the prices are so reasonable and everyone was jostling for a bargain. Its 'Penny Black' stamp, of course. I've coloured the image with the Whisper pens and added a bit of glitter glue. Hope you like it

Dreamer - Sugar Nellie

I love this image and I'm still trying to perfect the colouring. Gone flower mad on these two cards, especially the card below with all it's punched out flowers I've made.
Hope you like them. Jeanette

Jute Bags

I've been busy making some more jute bags for my baby gift bags. I've come up with a new design using my sizzix daisy die. Using two different colours for the flowers , then stitching on a large button and arranging the flowers along the top or bottom of the bag. I'm rather pleased with how they've turned out. Chelle x

Happy Halloween

Been enjoying lots of fun today with my boys doing Halloween activities. Harley loves cooking at mo and he baked some pumpkin biscuits to take to nanny and grandad Terry this evening. We made some lanterns, dressed up and carved our pumpkin. I just had to put it on here to show you all as I'm rather pleased the way it turned out. Can you guess who it is??? Chelle

Elvis 'The King of Rock 'n' Roll'

Just a quickie card tonight. I just could not go to 'The Vegas' shop and not buy an Elvis stamp - so here it is. There were so many to choose from but this one I thought was a typical pose. I've stamped the back ground with some of the Inkadinkadoo Rock Star clear stamps. Hope you like it. Jeanette

18th Birthday

Blue's brother has turned 18 today. I made him a card using Mikey designs from charmed cards and crafts. I like this one as you can use it for many different cards. I used some papermania papers and my sizzix numbers die I brought sometime ago in the sale at a bargain price. Hope you like. Chelle x

Baby Book - Boy

Tried the 'baby' template book again. I've figured that I can get the whole book out of two pieces of A4 card. Glue was an issue with the first book as I like using double sided tape which is not a good idea with this book, and hey presto found that the craft mount adhesive spray is the best option and so much quicker, although it is better to spray outside as it is very fumy. I've used my Zutter binding tool this time and I think I prefer it. Hope you like it. Jeanette
