A Winning Stamp for Another Challenge

A little while back I won the Papertake Weekly Challenge and received a great stamp. It's my first ever WOJ stamp and I got to say that I hadn't realise the quality of the stamp. The image stamps crystal clear. So I did notice at SSDS Challenge that the theme is Get Well or Good Luck. Perfect for my new stamp.

Over at Cupcake craft Challenge the theme is Blue & Green and I thought I'd try and make a Christmas card with these colours. The stamp is Rubber Stampede 'Skinny Tree B'. I've used Glamour Dust and glossy accents on the baubles, star and the bucket. The remainder is bits I found rummaging around the bits n bobs boxes. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Anniversary Card

I'm back again, two days in a row. Well its my anniversary this Friday. This time 6 years ago I was sat in muddy field watching The Darkness at Reading Festival with Blue where it all began. I've had to quickly make him a card this evening before he returns home from work tomorrow. I have used Pink petticoat images, coloured the fishes with my pro markers and glittered the hearts and eyelashes with glamour dust. I used my nestabilities to mat and layer the image and wording I printed from my computer. I found some heart embellishments that I brought to use for my wedding and arrange them down one side of the card. I hope you like the card. Michelle x

Where have I been hiding

Some of you I know have been wondering where the other half of Krafty Kows has been. Well I'm here at last! This is I think my first posting for 2010, yes I know we are already well into August. Where have I been hiding you ask yourselves? I have been very busy this year with my children, the house, my health and not forgetting organising my wedding for next. Yes I'm getting married. So my passion for crafting has taken back burner. I have done some crafting this year but mainly just cards for birthday's. etc that have cropped up in the family. As you can see I love my pink petticoat images and have used them alot. All my papers, ribbons and embellishments are from garage sales and craft sales that I have been to. I hope to put some photos of my wedding invites and other bits I have been busy preparing for our wedding next May at a later date. Hope you like. Michelle x

More cards

Here are some more cards that I have made through out this year. Still need to practice. Feel very much out of touch with the crafting world but hopefully will get some time soon to fullfil my passion with crafting. Hope you like the cards. Michelle x

Mum's Birthday

It is mum's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! I hope she's not having a sneaky peek before I go to her house this afternoon to collect the boys and give her cards and pressie's. She kindly had them for the night, they were so excited yesterday to being staying with nanny.
For mum's cards I used pink petticoat images. I love her images and can not get enough of them. I used my new pro markers that I brought a while back and not used yet and glittered them up with glamour dust. Not sure what make the paper is as I brought them at a garage sale as with the ribbon too. I hope mum and you like them. Michelle x

Lucas Birthday

I can not believe my baby boy was two years old last wednesday. How time has flown and what a little cheeky monkey he is turning into. Lucas is Toy Story and Madagascar mad at the moment, so I decided to use these as the themes for his birthday cards. I searched the internet for images and printed them, using my nestabilities I cut and matted them. I used papermania papers for both cards for the background and made my own messages using my computer. Took me two evening to make as I am really out of practice but I'm really pleased with how they came out. Hope you like them. Michelle x

Bournemouth Air Festive & A Christmas Card

We arrange a day out to the air fest yesterday and it was a complete washout. After sitting for hours we saw one helicopter and that was it. It was poor visibility and you can't blame the Red Arrows for abandoning their display. Terry was very disappointed but I cheered him up by secretly buying him a Red Arrows T-shirt. So on to my card of today. I'm entering this into a few Christmas challenges and they are:
A Spoonful of Sugar - Christmas, Charisma Cardz - Die Cuts - Cute Card Thursday - Sketch to follow, Winter Wonderland - Walking in a Winter Wonderland - Bah Humbug - Winter Wonderland, Creative Inspirations Challenge - Christmas in August - Stampavie & More - Chrsitmas in Summer

This very cute image is from Buzzcraft. I've used Promarker to colour and used glossy accents and Glistening Snow Writer for the snow and snowflakes. Dies cut flourishes and snowflakes are Creatables. Paper and card from stash. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Good job I took some photo's of it, little monkey. Anyway we ended up on the beach, a little windy but once I started running around trying to stop Harley running into the sea, the other little monkey, I soon warmed up........no it's not my age!!!

This is the latest stamp that I won on Ebay for .99p and thought she was a bit quirky and just had to own her. It does have a sentiment on the stamp but I've omitted it on this occasion. I'm going to enter this card into a few challenges. The first challenge is Pear Tree Designs - Best Wishes, and also Cowgirl's Sunday Stamp'en Challenge - be inspired by this picture and use
buttons & ribbon

And finally Papertake Challenge which you have to following this sketch
I've used Promarkers to colour her trying to keep to the cheese cake colours. Used Glamour Dust on the candles and hearts. Glossy accents on the candles and the spots on her dress. Bye for now. Jeanette

Winter Wonderland - Tag It

Here is my entry for Winter Wonderland, This week you have to make a tag. This is a tag stamp, sorry don't know who the maker is, but isn't he just the cutest snowman. He has been decoupaged and I've coloured him in with Promakers, used glistening snow writer for the snow and glossy accents on his nose and buttons. Hope you like him. Jeanette

Butterflies & Bees

I was trying to think of a way to make an easel card a bit different, and this is what I've come up with.
I've used acetate to hold the butterflies and bees. I've used 6 different stamps to create this card and can still of things that I can add but decided this was enough.

The stamps I used were: Happy Birthday sentiment is from Magenta, Best wishes etc from Penny Black, Posy border by Hero Arts, Two Sketched Butterflies by Hero Arts, Single and Trio Bess by Stampendous. The bees and butterflies have been glittered with Glamour Dust but the photo doesn't show how sparkly they look. Colour with Promarkers.
I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:
Flutterby Wednesday - Butterfly, Fairy, Angels
I Love Promakers - Acetate
Charisma Cardz - Easel Card
Sir Stampalot - Bring on the Bling

Lucas Birthday Card - Toy Story

Lucas will be 2 on Wednesday and here is his card I made this evening. Michelle & Blue took him and Harley to see Toy Story and apparently he sat glued to the screen all the way through. Not bad for a 2 year old. I understand Harley was a bit more fidgety, but that's Harley for you. I've bought him Buzz Lightyear and cant wait to see his face when I give it too him, that's if the batteries don't run out. Well you just cant help pressing them. To infinity and beyond!

Paper Play Challenge & The Wedding

Well what a fab wedding and a memorable day. Both Terry and I had a great time and a big sigh of relief that the cake travelled 100 miles in one piece and they loved the cake. The colour of the roses seemed to match perfectly. I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank you. Terry did look very dashing in his suit. It was lovely to see everybody together. Good times!
So on to the next challenge that I'm going to enter. This is the first time for Paper Play which I had spotted on Mandy's blog and the challenge is Bon Voyage. Now I've never made one of these cards before but strangely enough last weekend I did buy a sentiment stamp with it on.......how spooky....so it was just beckoning me to have a play! So here it is.
The image is from Personal Impressions which I bought from a car boot sale some years ago. The background image is from Hero Arts called Antique Map Background which I tried to colour to make it look 'vintage'. Coloured by Promarkers and used glossy accents for the water. The wheel embellishment is from Embellish It. I hope you like it. Jeanette
