The Chocolate Favours

Staying with the beach theme I made the favours. Michelle provided the little buckets and added the decor to them and I made the chocolates. I used Melts for the coloured crab, starfish etc. Yum yum!

The Guest Book

Here is a picture of the guest book I made for Michelle & Blue. It is divided into three sections. The first section was for the main Wedding day, next section is for the second reception in 'July and the third section will be for photo's for those that were not at the Wedding day. All the products for the book were from Zutter and the paper covering was from stash, the text was created on my pc. Jeanette

The Sandcastle Wedding Cake

What a great day we all had on Saturday at Michelle & Blue's wedding and as promised here is the wedding cake. Not a traditional wedding cake, but fitting to the theme of the wedding and they loved it. This was a 'Krafty Kows' wedding with most things hand made between myself and Michelle and I'll post the other items later. Jeanette

Cards For Men Challenge - No Designer Paper

Well I'm on target with the wedding cake - it is constructed and iced and tomorrow I will hopefully get the bits 'n' bob's finished - but hey no rush. Tonight I thought I would enter the Cards For Men challenge which is no designer paper. So with the 'less is more' hat on I chose to stamp the back ground with a script stamp in TH tea dye distress ink, faux stitching around the edge of the card and the stamped script and the vintage card image is from Butterfly Kisses and called 'Old Crock'. Catch you later. Jeanette

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Blog Hop

I've just finished this card for the C.R.A.F.T. challenge and blog hop and not sure if I got the answer right but what the heck - it was fun visiting the DT's blogs. My image is by PB and called Bubble of Joy. Coloured with Promarkers and lots of little gems around the edge from stash. Stamped out the star and put a star eyelet in middle. I've have used glossy accents on the bubble but to be honest it hasn't dried yet as I wanted to get to bed. I hope you like it. Jeanette

Forever Friends Challenge

The theme over at Forever Friends is Vintage and I thought I would enter this card. The collection is called 'Going To The Chapel' and I've coloured with Promarkers and used Stickles Frosted Lace on the veil. The cupid and heart is from Dress It Up buttons and I used a variety of browns to try and make the paper look vintage but I think it just looks muddy........again didn't know when to stop lesson!!! Anyway I hope you like it. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Baby Boy

Just a quick book to show you - I hope you like it. Jeanette

Less Is More - Butterflies

Phew - that's all the baking for the wedding cake done now, and thought I'd chill out and do a card and leave the construction and icing for tomorrow. I'm attempting Less Is More Challenge again, because for me this is a real challenge and I quite like it, and as it's Butterflies as the theme who could resist it! So for the ingredients (sounds familiar) the image is called Swirly from Inkadinkdo. I've had this stamps for years, it was one of the first one's I bought and left it in the cupboard for years not knowing what to do with it, so it's out for another airing today! The background script is from Dimension Fourth which I stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Milled Lavender and the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. I decoupage the butterflies and bee, added glitter to the wings and around the edge of the card and coloured with Promarkers. Still got camera problems so that isn't a smudge on the card. Jeanette

Thinking of Christmas Again?!?!?

Can't believe I ended up making a Christmas card when I haven't finished Michelle & Blue's Wedding card!! Well, this is not a 'less is more card' tonight - needed to get everything out (not that it is ever put away for long). Not sure whether I'll be posting much over the next week as the wedding cake is going to take priority, my last task for the wedding plans and as I have made so very many over the last 30 years I best make it a good one.

So onto my card. I bought this stamp 2nd hand just recently and I love it because when you look at it, you can see it is quite versatile, for instance you could cut them out individually and arrange differently on your card but tonight I've decoupaged their arms and song sheets. This is a PB image called Carolling Penguins which I've used Promarkers to colour, used Glamour dust on their hats and polar white flower soft for the snow. I'm entering this card into the following challenges.

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes

Pear Tree Designs - Stamped Image

City Crafter Challenge- Stripes & Polka Dots

Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes

Paper Play -Sparkle Galore

Hope you like it. Jeanette

Less Is More

Less Is More - This is one of Michelle's favourite sayings and I wish I could manage that on a card but some how I just get carried away, so tonight, after our return from the 'wedding rehearsals' I thought I would unwind and chillax by making a card for Less is More 'one layer card & embossing'. I'm not sure about this card at all. It's been forever since I used my embossing gun, in fact I forgot where I had stored it................yes right at the back of the cupboard, it even had that 'dust burning' smell when I switch it on. I've done a little dry embossing around the sides but not sure that can been seen by the photo. Anyway I dunno, I'll keep trying. Jeanette

Quick Added Note:

So it seems I forgot to give you the info on the items used, in my rush to get to bed as I was so kna....... tired chasing after my two grandsons around the church last night!!

Okay the image is from Impress Obsession and called Single Daisy Print, the sentiment is also a stamp but there is no makers name on it but I know it is part of a box set (no box!!). The centre of the flower I just coloured with Promarker pen and used some glossy accents. And that's it. Hope that helps. Jeanette

Winter Wonderland - Christmas Presents

At last, a Christmas card. Over at Winter Wonderland Challenge the theme is Christmas Presents. For this I've used an image from the House Mouse collection and this one is called Mouse E Claus. Cute huh! Coloured with Promarkers, added flower soft for snow effect and punched a snowflake topped with a button embellishment. Jeanette

Concertina Photo Books - Baby Girl

Book 1

Book 2
Book 3

Since having been at Upton House Craft Fair at Easter there has been an increase interest in the little photo books that I make, with an increase in enquiries I have decided to show my books here on my blog and I hope this doesn't bore some of you. I still intend to enter blog challenges and display some cards. Once the wedding & later reception is over I will be definitely looking into setting up a website, so any hints and tips would be much appreciated. So without any further waffling on, here are some books for those of you that I have emailed me. Jeanette

PBSC - Clean & Simple

I started off thinking less is more, less is more but still got carried away so this is not so 'clean and simple' as I imaged it would be however, I'll still enter it anyway into PBSS and maybe try another one later in the week. I double stamped the image called 'burst of stars' in red and black ink, a few glitter dots in the centre and decoupaged the leaves. I still felt the need to add more but gave in to temptation. Jeanette

Outer Space

This one is for the boys and for the following challenge. Over at Craft Challenge the theme is 'Alien Space'. This stamp set I bought over a year ago and this is the first time I've ever used it. It's from Crate Paper and is from Orbit collection. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Butterflies

I have been asked to make a butterfly photo book and here it is. I was lucky enough to have found this beautiful paper in the huge stash I bought last weekend, I've added a butterfly gromlet to the front, also MS punched butterflies with sparkly gem bodies on the inside pages and as luck would have it over at Flutter By Wednesday's the challenge is 'Anything but a Card'........perfecto! ( have been luck for a Friday 13th!) Jeanette

And The Next One!

This card I'm entering into:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Gingham & Roses
I was planning to entering it into another challenge but it seems they have lost their posting, DOH! It is a PB image called Hedgehog Joy, made my own button flower, put roses in the middle of the daisies, 3 punched butterflies, and a few sparkly gems. Jeanette

At Last A Challenge - Pear Tree Design Challenge

Hi, and what on earth happened to Mr Blogger. I finally make a few cards for some challenges and make some books for people to choose from and Blogger goes walkabouts, let's hope it doesn't happen again! So anyway, Pear Tree Design Challenge was introduced to me by the lovely Clare. I do my best to enter this challenge from time to time and so here is my card. The theme is 'Spring'. The image is from PB called Surprise, and I've used Promarkers to colour, MS butterfly stamp and rest is from stash. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Summer Flowers

Here's another book with those gorgeous papers I bought - the quality is so good and for those who may want to know they are AC Patterned Paper American Crafts and this set is called Blue Skies. As well as some great patterns and designs, some of the papers are glittered and varnished which gives the books a real quality feel. Hope you like them and stand by for more. Jeanette

New Papers and Stamps - Concertina Books

I skipped aerobics tonight in favour of doing some gardening which has been badly neglected and has now turned into a jungle! Wish I'd gone out now. So much needs doing, still the Robin enjoyed the bugs that I'd disturbed. On Saturday, before Michelle and I did some 'wedding' shopping we popped over to Christchurch for the Dorset Stampers sale and I daren't even tell you how much I spent, but well worth it. I bought some great PB stamps and can't wait to try them out and also bought some beautiful papers. I made a couple of books with some and thought I'd show them to you. That's all for now - gotta get to the craft room before the Apprentice starts! Yeah. Jeanette

It's All About A Girl - Concertina Photo Books

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged and I've not even had the time to visit some of my fav blogs, but I should be back full time after the wedding of Michelle & Blue. I'm getting very excited now but building up into a frenzy. The outfit is bought, with matching handbag, shoes, fascinator & jewellery and I'm just left to finish the guestbook, favours, and of course the wedding cake.

Tonight I just wanted to post a few concertina books that are just a couple from the many I've made over the last three months. I'm hoping to get back into doing some challenges very soon.
Bye for now

Jeanette
