Passion For Promarkers - Babies

Here's a baby boy card I managed to create but honestly don't know how as I woke up yesterday with a very sore and slightly swollen back of the left hand. Today it has swollen so much I cant see two of my knuckles on my hand, swollen to my wrist and covered with blisters but only on the fingers. How bizarre as I've only got a few blisters on the other hand but god is it so painful. Can't bend my fingers and it is red hot. Got no bite mark and it doesn't itch. Tried NHS website and that didn't help, so maybe a trip to the doctors tomorrow. So that's my boring up date and now onto the card. At Passion For Promarkers the theme is Babies. The image is from Wood Cellar Graphics, coloured with Promarkers, and added lace, flowers, brad and a little glitter to the flowers and butterflies. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Graduation

And here is the book (needed to keep my labels correct!!). Jeanette

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Stitch It Up

One of my dearest friends daughter has been at Uni in Manchester and graduates next month, so in prep I've made her this card and a little photo book so that she can keep her memories for the special day. I know her mum and dad are very proud. I'm entering the card into the PBSC which the theme this week is Stitch It Up. I've used 'A Scholar' image...perfecto and coloured with Promarkers. Used faux stitching around the gingham paper and added some little stars. Decoupage the hat thingymagig. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Baby

Anyone For Anya

Over at Anyone For Anya it is a sketch. I've chosen a Christmas image and I have a little girl in mind for this card but can't say who! I've colour with Promarkers, used flower soft polar white for the fur, sentiment is a rub-on, couple of snowflake embellies, faux stitching with a white gel pen and paper from stash. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Krazy Chickens

This image is from Whipper Snapper and called Feathered Friends - look like Krafty chickens to me. It's quite a large stamp so takes up quite a lot of the card area so not many add on's. I've coloured with Promarkers, glossy accent the beaks and glittered the stars. Added a couple of star buttons with some thread. I'm entering this card into two challenges and they are: The Crafty Pad - Bold & Bright or Soft Pastels. Pear Tree Challenge - Stamp Something - Hope you like it. Jeanette

Less Is More - Sketch

So I thought before I put this stamp in the drawer, which then works it way to the bottom and gets forgotten for a year or so I thought I'd stamp it up again. I do like this - it's so cute......if you like frogs that it. Over at Less is More is a sketch. Using the PB Toadily Yours again, I've stamped and cut them out this time. Coloured with Promarkers and trying my hardest not to add more! Hope you like it. Jeanette

Wedding cards & presents

I decided to show you all some of the lovely cards and gifts we received. Here is a lovely heart decoration handmade by my lovely northern friend (as Blue calls her) Vicky. I was shocked to receive it in the post, didn't expect it. It now sits proudly hanging from my fireplace.

And here is the lovely card Vicky made me too. She made it to match our beach theme and hand wrote our names and date of wedding. Thank you Vicky.

This card was from our children. Mum made this card for them to send to us. Should of taken a photo of inside as they done some lovely pictures for us (obviously take after mummy). Haven't posted the card mum sent us as she beat me to it already posted it on.

And finally the most gorgeous card I have ever seen. I so wish I was this talented. I was totally surprised by this lovely lovely card that Mandy sent us. It has really inspired me to get our my craft items and get back into it as soon as I'm back on my feet. Thank you so so much Mandy for your beautiful card and and lovely wishes. Michelle

A New Home

Thought I'd better make a few 'new home' cards as the box is bare. This image is from Stampendous and called Birdhouse Fence and thought this would be perfect. As usually coloured with Promarkers, added three panels of paper to the background, circles, punched butterflies, flowers, pearls & ribbon. I'm entering this into the following challenges: C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - 3 Rectangles, 2 circles and 1 tag and over The Crafty Pad Challenge the theme is 'Something New'. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Forever Friends Challenge - Spots & Dots

Over at Forever Friends Challenge the theme is Spots & Dots and I had some card left over from making my Mr& Mrs book which I used Funky Hands download. Look What I Found In My Garden

I was digging away yesterday removing a tonne of weeds and grass when suddenly I saw this tiny creature wriggly at the end of my fork. My heart went in my mouth and I gently put him in an old fish tank and left him (for dead to be honest!). Half an hour later there he was gingerly moving (phew thank god!). I think it's a newt but he's very small, so I've put him in the tank (made it creature friendly) and at the weekend I'll take him to the little brook not far from were we live. Thought I'd show him to my grandson first. Jeanette

Totally Tilda - Anything But A Card

As always when I see one of those 'anything but a card challenges' I immediately thing book....book and here is one for the Totally Tilda Challenge. I was very lucky to pick up lots of these stamps from a car boot sale at such bargain prices - in fact I bought the lot! I've selected these three but don't know if they have names or titles as they came in clear bags. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Passion For Promarkers - Park Life

When Michelle start crafting together the name Krafty Kows cropped up (I wont bother with the whole story) and Michelle decided to go for a pink kow with brown spots and sticking with the theme I've coloured this image with Promarkers accordingly. At Passion For Promarkers the theme is 'Park' and I remember this Whipper Snapper stamp which is called Moo'd Swing. The background papers are from Funky Hands CD, added a few embellies, glitter on the bow and glossy accents on the hoofs and bell. I usually put this cow in a aperture card so it actually swings but tried something a bit different tonight. Jeanette

Wedding - Table Decorations

Here we have the top table decorations. I bought the "Mr & Mrs" letters from ebay. I got Blue to cut me a length of wood and glued the letters on so they were free standing. I then painted them in ivory, once dried I sanded down the edges of the letters to give it a shabby chic look, which cannot be seen from the photo. I scattered shells around to tie into our theme 'beach'. Unfortunately I wasn't that clever to make the "Just Married" garland, it was a present from mum. In the background is netting hanging. This I got from our local crafting scrapstore whilst getting bits for the boys to do some crafting. Mum and Terry did a great job at fixing star fishes and shells to it to have as a back drop behind the top table.

The guest tables all had buckets for our beach theme. I searched for hours, days and weeks to find just the right buckets and came across them at a florist wholesalers locally. I filled them with sand and scattered shells and pearls into the sand. I used battery operated tea lights (to keep the little ones safe) to give it a romantic feel. I used some black ribbon to go around the middle of bucket, using the computer I made the table names matted up with black card. I named all the tables after local beaches that we spend time as a family together. Also used the computer to make the guests place cards, these were matted up with black card and pegged onto the wine glasses using mini pegs I got from Hobbycraft and glued a shell to them. Hope you can see the fab favours mum made. This was a real mother and daughter team making and organising our wedding. Hope you like. Michelle x
