I then printed and re-size the butterflies from Alifactory and coloured them with pink and brown inks. The handmade flowers are made from handmade papers, which each petal is folded and five are then glued together, then I attached a button with some florist wire, pop through the middle adding a little glue to secure.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely mum's out there.
Hope you've all had a lovely day and have been spoilt rotten.
My boys showered me with chocolates and flowers and even a little lay in this morning. Bless Lucas he came in yesterday after going shopping with daddy to tell me he got me flowers for mother's day as soon as he walked through the door. Got to love the Innocence from kids.

Just a quick post as I wanted to share my cards I'd made for mum and mother in law. Couldn't put them on before as they are always on here.
 Mum's card.
Had to be a cow image being we're krafty kows. Also mum is into her knitting too at moment.

Blue's mum card.
She loves the colour purple so incorporated purple on the card design.
Really pleased with both cards how they turned out.

Now onto the mini krafty kows in the making.
Here are the cards my boys came home with from school for mummy.
 Harley's card

Lucas's card.
Sorry photos are poor due to lighting in my house.
Hope you like and enjoy the rest of your evening. Michelle xx

The images are from a stamp set from Rubbadubbadoo and Hero Arts. I used some garden twine to give the impression of rope, a page from a book which I've aged and made into a sort of scroll, and finally added a few candy dots and a brass charm. I'm entering this card into the following challenges

All things pink and girly

This is a gift I've made ready for my sister-in-law for when her little bundle of joy makes an appearance into the world. (not until May but me being super organised again). Wanted give her something more personal and fun. I'm so excited as we're both due with little girls within 6 weeks of each other. So its lovely sharing everything together. I wanted to show photos of the nappy cake in stages as I don't think you get to se the full affect once its wrapped and in cellophane in a photo. So here it goes.

Bottom Tier

 Bottom and Middle Tier

 Top Tier

Above and below
The Nappy cake

The nappy cake consists of approx 40 nappies, johnsons baby wash and lotion, blanket, top and trouser set, lullaby baby book and CD and a washcloth cupcake.
All wrapped up

I've decorated the cake using the blanket and top (its so cute reads "perfect just like mummy"), for bottom and top tier, using ribbon to tie the them into place but also to give a decorative finish. The middle tier I used my sizzix machine to cut out teddy bears and coloured using my pro markers to match in with colour theme (cream and pink). I attached the bears to a ribbon to go around the the nappies. I then sat for hours (well felt like it) but think its worth it curling, curling ribbon to go around the top edges of each tier. On the very top is the cupcake which is a washcloth in a cute dotty pink case with a organza pink bow on the top. I wrapped in cellophane, and decorated using a large ribbon bow, curling ribbon and a tag I made from an image and matt up using my nesties. I've used approx 200 ribbons altogether. Lost count after 150. I'm not sure if this counts for a challenge I've seen but hope it does. I'm to entering this into the following challenges
I hope you like. Been great fun making this.

Boys Card

Well what a lovely weekend we've had here. Sun has been shining and we have made the most of it. Spent most of weekend with the boys in the garden and seeing family. Even managed to get them to help mummy do some gardening. We've done lots which means I haven't done much crafting although did plan tonight to do some but spent the evening speaking to a very good friend of mine also a crafter. Phoned her to wish her Happy Birthday for this week and forgot (pregnancy brain). So Vicky if you read this Happy Birthday and hope you have a lovely day. But wanted to put this card on before I get my beauty sleep.
This card I've made using a sketch from a challenge I'm entering. Though I have flipped the sketch so I could fit it onto card I was using. The image is from squiggles. This is great for boys. I coloured with pro markers and then added some googley eyes on, which I'm sure my nephew will love. The sentiment I done myself on computer. The papers and gems are from  my stash.
I hope you like. Michelle xx
