Speaking of which there are lots of 'male' challenges this week, and I was really lucky to win a couple of 'The Crafty Pad' images last week and here is one that I've used for the following card:

I Love Vintage

And I do. I'm loving the vintage and steam punk style cards but unfortunately I still needs lots of practise. but I thought I'd give it a go and here's my card.

The images are from a stamp set from Rubbadubbadoo and Hero Arts. I used some garden twine to give the impression of rope, a page from a book which I've aged and made into a sort of scroll, and finally added a few candy dots and a brass charm. I'm entering this card into the following challenges
The Stamp Man Challenge - Vintage
Creative Card Crew - Vintage
Craft Room - Shabby Vintage

White Space

Over at Squiggles stamps they are having a challenge called white space. I decided to give it ago as I've never made card with white in mind. Have to admit it was very hard to get started but once I did I actiually ended up making 3 cards (others on previous posts below). It's been very inspiring. Here on this card I've used a motorbike decoupage topper that I found. It was perfect as main colour is white with hint of gold. I worked with these two colours in mind but with white as main colour for this weeks challenge. The sentiment is from Pink petticoat. I used my new dies to matt and layer. I'm thinking of putting this one aside for Blue's dad for Father's Day in June as he loves his motorbikes and trikes. I hope you like. Michelle xx

Grandad Card

Here is a card I made for Blue's dad from the boys. I used one of my recycled brown cards which I very much into at the moment. I matt and layered up the stars background paper (from papermania) with some navy card. Put a navy ribbon across which I got from my local scrapstore. The wording image is from Pink Petticoat. Using gold and navy card I matt and layered up the image. I hope you like. Michelle x

60th Birthday Card

It is Blues dads 60th birthday today. Here is the card I have made him. I used a free digi image I've had stashed away, coloured using my pro markers. I've matt and layered the image using pale blue and silver card. The wording I arranged on my netbook, printed to pick up the brown in the background paper. The background paper i think is making memories, its one I've had a while. I then found a button I wanted  to use but was finding it difficult to decide what to do. Decided ribbon wasn't right when I came across some garden string which done a lovely job i think. I hope you like. Michelle xx

Embossing & No Kids Allowed

I've got a few postings tonight as I have a friend coming to stay over the weekend, so wont get much chance of any crafting but hopefully plenty of retail therapy - best cram it all in tonight. I've tackled a 'men's' card tonight, how brave am I. I love this image, yes a bit scary but it makes a great men's card. I've embossed the background card with a cuttlebug folder - I used this one because I thought it depicted wheels. I've edged the card with TH Distress Ink Tea Dye. I've coloured the image with Promarkers just using the one pen to match the background which was Caramel. Couple of Dress It Up stars and the sentiment is from Magenta. I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers - Emboss It.

Cards for Men - Sketch

I'm supposed to be doing my housework and gardening today but I suddenly remembered that I had made this card earlier in the week for the following challenge:

Cards For Men - Sketch and I hadn't posted it - looks like I may only have a few hours left to go, so here it goes! Jeanette

Cards For Men - Water

Over at Cards For Men the theme is Water which means I can get my old faithful stamp out from Personal Impressions and I've also used Rubbadubbadoo 'Travel' stamp set. I bought this set over a year ago and this is the first time I've used it. I coloured my boat scene with water colours and the travel set I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Te Dye. Added a couple of embellishments. Hope you like it. Jeanette.

January Cards

Welll I say it every year, I'll make all my cards for family and friends so they are done, but never do leaving it to the last minute. So far this year I'm kind of on track. I managed to finish all of Januarys a couple of nights ago. I am hoping to have all cards finished by end of month so I can concentrate on my forth coming wedding in May. Above I have a card I've made for my mums partner. This is a pink petticoat image. I've glamour dusted the sheep and coloured the sheeps bow tie and legs with promarkers along with the text. The card below is also for the same person. My boys always call him Grandad Terry at home and he does like a sit down with a cup of tea and the paper. So thought this jolly nation decoupage was ideal for him.

This card is for my dad. Its a very simple card. I have chosen jolly nations again as this was ideal for my dad as he is off on a holiday of a life time later on in the year. Lucky for some. Not sure where I gotthe papers from. The text for the cards I've done myself on computer. Hope you like. Michelle

One Card 2 Challenges & Some Great News

Well the great new is that I won the Paper Take Weekly Challenge whoop whoo!! Can't wait to receive my prize and have a play and a big thank you to all.
So onto my next card:

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Cards for Men - Off on an Adventure

Pear Tree Challenge - Male Theme

The image looks like it's from Peddlers Pack Stampworks ( I think that's what it says) and is called Fishermans sampler (I can read that okay). Got sort in the feel of vintage a bit after completing an earlier card this week. I've tried to make it look like a sign post. The fish is glazed. Image coloured by Whisper pens and a water brush. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Just Chilling

Here is Mikey again. These images are so fab for that difficult teenage age. You never what sort of card to make and I think these images fit the bill nicely. I been very brave and used Promakers again. I think I need some more colours..........of course but just so I can try out the shading a bit better. Any way I wont gas on - I hope you like it. Jeanette

Funstamps - Hamish

So cracking on with my own challenge, and having missed a men's card posting yesterday (because I wanted to enter PBC101), here is my next male card. I think this image is quite suitable for the 'older generation', maybe it's becasue of the waistcoat he's wearing. I've coloured him with Promarkers, used glossy accents on the bottle and glass and used yellow glitter glue for the bubbles. Paper were oddments in my 'huge box of oddments' (never through anything away) and the buttons from stash. That's it. Bye for now. Jeanette

Mikey - 18th Birthday

Just A Bear - Hobby Art

Well I missed a posting yesterday but I was frantically making some books for the craft fair this morning. Which meant another late night. Up until 1pm!! Still it was worth it. Sold quite a few books and it's nice to see the people there. It's a lovely friendly atmosphere and all for a very good cause. All the ladies worked very hard. I even won a raffle prize. So this is a very quick card tonight. I feel like I've cheated really but I am going to try a catch up with another posting maybe later tonight or perhaps two tomorrow. I am determined to complete my challenge!! So here is a cuddly bear hold a hammer charm. Coloured with Promakers (still not getting on with them....I need lessons!) Hope you like him. Jeanette

Male Month Challenge - Drum Kit

Hello, well I missed a posting last night, but only because I was having problems with either my laptop or blogger server..................who knows I'm not very techno. So here's last nights posting today. There will be another posting later - got to keep up the challenge.
I cant remember where I got this stamp from but I always struggle to make it look exciting. The papers are from PM from the Colossal collection. I've added some glossy accents, not sure you can see that in the photo's.

Guitar Boy - Male Month Challenge

Not a good day today, a check up at the dentist revealed that my broken tooth can be saved but will require a crown and omg how expensive is that! So it will require two visits some time next month. So for my card today. Yes I know I've shown this card before but not in my 'male month challenge' and to honest I love this image and never get fed up with colouring it. This time I've tried to give him army green trousers. The backing paper is so suitable for males and I often use it, I've also I've added a guitar charm. Hope you like it. Jeanette
