White Space

Over at Squiggles stamps they are having a challenge called white space. I decided to give it ago as I've never made card with white in mind. Have to admit it was very hard to get started but once I did I actiually ended up making 3 cards (others on previous posts below). It's been very inspiring. Here on this card I've used a motorbike decoupage topper that I found. It was perfect as main colour is white with hint of gold. I worked with these two colours in mind but with white as main colour for this weeks challenge. The sentiment is from Pink petticoat. I used my new dies to matt and layer. I'm thinking of putting this one aside for Blue's dad for Father's Day in June as he loves his motorbikes and trikes. I hope you like. Michelle xx

White Christmas

My second Christmas card for the year. Today I've used a squiggle image called Daisy with a gift. Although this is a Christmas image over at squiggles, I find this very versatile for birthdays too. I love using this image. I've coloured using my pro markers. I embossed some white card with my snow flake cuttlebug stencil and used my nesties to cut a scallop circle. I orginally used the largest die but decided it wasn't right and used next size down. I then used positive and negative from this to matt up the little girl. I'm pretty pleased with what was a mistake to turn into something good. I've used a star, white organza ribbons and snowflake buttons from my stash to finish off the card.

Another christmas card. This is my third card I've made so far this year. I'm feeling very organised for once. The image I've used is from Squiggle Stamps called carol singers. Its one i've had  for a while and loved using last christmas. I used pro markers to colour up. The embossed tree is from my cuttlebug stencil. I have glittered a few bits, but can not be seen very well in the photo. I matt it up using shimmery white card. I put a ribbon and two snowflake buttons on from my big stash of goodies to finish it off.

Saturated Canary Challenge 12 - Doilies

For the first time I'm entering a card into Saturated Canary Challenge which the theme is use Doilies.
I really love all the images that are available and this is one of my favourites. I've used Promarkers to colour and used TH embossing folder, Gears die cut and tea dye ink pad to colour my doily and added a ribbon bow and stapled a couple of ribbons loops.

Mother's Day

Mother's day is fast approaching and here is a card I made for a lady who's mum is Mam. I like the fact that you can create a card and personalise it in anyway you wish.

I've used some bright and spring like colours. The papers are from Martha Stewart and the image is from Fizzy Moon. Added a TH swirl, flower with a brad through the middle and some gems.

Just Browsing

Tonight I followed a sketch over at MAWTT. I'm not sure where the image comes from but decided not to colour it and keep to black and white theme. I've added flowers, flourishes, gems and a birthday sentiment. Paper and card from stash.

Patterned Card

Over at The Crafty Pad the theme is  Share the Good News (News print or Book print). I'm not sure if my card will count but I'll try anyway. I purchased last year from a charity shop an old sewing pattern with the intention of using this on a card along with dress making images and embellishments which is what I have finally got round to doing. The images are from the Crafty Pad Shop which I've aged with TH tea dye & old paper colours ink pad. Added a few buttons and small scissors embellishment.

Christmas In March

 Well I think this is my first Christmas card made for this year even though I said I would make one Christmas card a week......hmmm intentions were good but some how I just keep running out of time. But here is:

The stamp set is from Rusty Pickle and call Grinch-mas Stamps. TH swirl and Gadget Gear Die Cuts. Distressed the edges of the Christmas tree and the black circle. Ink pad is TH Tea Dye.

A Typical Teenager

Still on my mission to get cards made for year. Here is a card I've made our eldest. He'll be 14yrs next month and is a typical teenager. So thought this free digi image was perfect for him along with the sentiment (also a freebie) in top left hand corner. I've coloured the image using my pro markers. Many of them I got new yesterday. Had a tiny bit of a spend. SSSHHH! Don't tell anyone, especially the hubby, but got them at bargain price. I've set the card out from a sketch I'm entering in from one of the challenges this week. There are so many about at moment its great fun. The papers are from my stash along with the navy ribbons I've used. The sentiment under image I done on computer.

Birthday Girl

It's our little Chloe's birthday soon so I've made her this card. This is the first time I've used this shape card which I bought over at the Farnborough Craft Exhibition, which both Michelle and I thoroughly enjoyed but spent far too much money but enough on that subject!! I've used PB image called Betsy Bluebell and the card, paper and embellies from stash.

New Baby

Both myself and mum had a great day out yesterday at the craft show. Both brought far too much but hey its all to fund the passion of crafting. Here is a card I've been working on the last couple of evenings. Didn't get to finish last night as I was too tired. I hope you can see it ok, I'm rubbish with the camera and the lighting in my house is not very good. This card I'm going to give to my sister in law when she has her baby. She's due 6 weeks before me, and we're both expecting girls. The image is from Pink Gems. Coloured with pro markers and used my nesties to layer up. The papers are from my stash. Busy Bees

Well both Michelle and I have been busy crafting away. How nice to see Michelle posting on the blog this week, but I'm not sure for how long though as her bump is getting quite big now and soon she will be at arms length to reach her work surface!

Here is a card that I made this week for a lady who calls her mum 'Mam' and finds it difficult to find a card with this one. I've made an easel card and used strips of acetate to which I've added butterflies too which adds movement. Paper is from Martha Stewart Essential Craft Pad. Butterfly stamp from Hero Arts, the busy bees from Stampendous, flower border from Hero Arts, all coloured with Promarkers.

Boys Birthday

Here is a card for my nephew. I've made this card so the boys can send it to him, later in the year. I'm still on my mission to get all cards I need for the year done before baby arrives. The image is another Squiggles Stamps. As you probably guessed I love the images and feeling rather inspired by them at the moment. I've coloured using pro markers. Matt and layered up using nestabilities. I've arrranged the image so he looks like he's sitting on the edge. The  background paper is snakes and ladders design and is from my massive stash. The sentiment I done using the computer.

Here I've used a gatefold card. I like these as they are a little different. Although make it very hard to photograph. (need to practice) The image is another Squiggle Stamps called true love. I've used my pro markers to colour. Matt and layered up using my cardstock stash. The background paper is from Papermania. I used my glitter dust to give the flowers on background paper and on the bride's tiara and underskirt to give it a bit of glam. The ribbon is from my massive stash. Didn't realise until today how much I had, when I decided to have a bit of a sort out and get organised again. Got rather messy. The sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. I hope you like. Michelle xx

Christmas Already

I know its only February and already a christmas card. Well I've had this image coloured and just sitting there since before christmas, and it was calling me to put it onto a card. I love this image, its from Squiggle Stamps. I gave myself the challenge to find a blog with a sketch challenge and give it a go. Its been really exciting and inspiring. Image is coloured with pro markers. the holly background paper is some I've had stashed away, along with the ribbon. The sentiment is a new stamp brought for me by my lovely mum. I used my nestabilities to matt and layer.

For my DT card this week I have used a Saturated Canary digi image and I have to say that I am passionate about these images, in particular the one I've chosen as it has a steampunk theme which is a style I love.

Birthday Card

Here is another birthday card I've made. Still been a busy bee but now having to put a hold on some now as I've run out of double tape. But looking forward to Saturday when I will be stocking up on all crafty items, as both myself and mum are off to a craft show. The image is from Pink Gems, called Tia Kitten. Birthday Wishes

I'm a busy bee tonight and on a roll and can not stop. Here is another card I've made. Not sure who it will be for but with so many birthdays coming up I'm sure I'll think of someone. I've combined lots of my favourite things this evening, using my nesties to matt and layer up the image from squiggle stamps called Daisy with gift, (love squiggles images and getting quite a collection) and ribbon.

I've really enjoyed combining red, white and black. Not done this before, why I don't know as my kitchen and bedroom is this colour theme and its very striking. I hope you like. Michelle xx
