Graduation Owl

I saw this idea just yonks ago on youtube and kept the idea in the back of mind (like you do). I haven't saved the link..sorry but you get the idea anyway. No stamping so it's easy peasy. Just select the appropriate size circles and mount together. I used googly eyes but you can use what you wish really.

So this Sunday is Father's Day and I shall be running the 'Race For Life' with my friend Julie....well to tell you the truth we will be walking it and I'm hoping the weather will be fine. It will be my 10th year of doing the race. It's feels good to help raise funds for a worthwhile charity.

One For The Boys/Men

Well little baby Smithers is due today and it seems she is quite comfy were she is! She wants to keep us all waiting!! Maybe she will hang on until Father's Day, that will be nice (but not for Michelle).
Speaking of which there are lots of 'male' challenges this week, and I was really lucky to win a couple of 'The Crafty Pad' images last week and here is one that I've used for the following card:

It's a great image which I have used Promarkers to colour with except for the sky I used chalks for that. Found a little wooden fish and fence in my stash and added green buttons and green netting.

Jubilee Celebrations

Well our jubilee weekend plans came to an end on Thursday as poor little Lucas came out in chiken pox. My poor little man is really suffering and is covered from head to toe. So we spent today crafting and baking. Mostly made by Harley as Lucas was on the sofa feeling very unwell but did join in for a bit making bunting and mixing cake mixture (he loves cooking).

 Here is some bunting and paperchains we made. Paperchains are from Pink Petticoat that are being given away on her blog. The bunting we got from Cbeebies website.

Here Harley is busy making union jack flags for our cakes we made later in the day. He takes after his mummy and nanny. Loves crafting and spent all day today crafting with me and he really enjoyed himself. He done a fantasic on job.

 Harley busy with glue, glitter and bits making his crown. We both covered in glitter but had great fun.

We finished off the day with our cakes and had a picnic party in our living room.

This could well be my last posting for a while. Only 9 days left to our little princess is due. So anytime now. I hope you like. Michelle xx

Red White & Blue Celebrations

You can feel a build up to the Diamond Jubilee celebrations this weekend and I'm looking forward to Monday where I will be at Swanage. I understand that they have sold 600 tickets and could possibly be the largest street party in the Dorset. Such organisation must be a logistic nightmare but I'm told that all kinds of organisations & volunteers have pulled together and they are even going to have the TV there! I'm just hoping the weather holds out for everybody.
Here is the card I've made tonight:

I've used a Saturated Canary image called Ellie's Birthday. Isn't she cute. I used just pink and red colours which works quite well together. I've used Promarkers to colour the image. Die cut a felt flower, TH swirl, buttons, candi dots, red glitter card and 'happy birthday' text background paper.

Good Old Cuppa Char

Queen Bee

Over at Cupcake challenge this week the theme is 'Royalty' and I thought I'd drag out my Queen Bee stamp that I bought from Viva Las Vegas Stamps a few years ago.

I've used Promarkers to colour the image and used lots of glitter, some gems, clear gloss, and candy dots. Lots of sparkle of this card. Hope you like it.

Baby Evie's Knitted Shrug

Here it is. I've finished the shrug I've been working on for Evie. Just love this wool and all the random colours.

I've just got enough for another one so I think baby Smithers will be getting one of these. So simple to make and takes no time at all to knit.

Another Completed Knitted Project

Three weeks to go before we meet our new baby girl, and here is another knitted cardi/matinee jacket completed. This one Michelle chose. She saw it in a library book and said 'mum can you make this'! Who could say no.....not me. Always up for a challenge I went ahead and here it is. Still needs a little rinse through and a bit of a press but on the whole I'm pleased with it.

I've also managed to finish off Evie's little shrug that I've also been kintting but yet to take a photo. Will try and do that tomorrow.

For my card this week I have used a Bugaboo image called Brat School - Ruler Boy.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and cut around the image and mounted on the top folded part of the easel card. I've covered the top part with black card and used a white pen to draw doodles etc. DP from K & Co and added some appropriate embellishments.

Rain Rain Go Away!

You can say that again!! This weather is certainly changable. It was a lovely sunny morning here but now it's coming over cloudy again and it seems we are going to have even more rain.
