Motor Bike Book

What a fantastic evening I've had. We have just returned from seeing Derran Brown at the BIC in Bournemouth, and I can honestly say that this man is totally amazing and completely blows your mind. How does he do it? So if you like that sort of thing go and see him. You will not be disappointed. So because of this I've not been able to play with my new craft goodies, but I do have a whole day on my own tomorrow and there will not be any housework done............guaranteed!
So today's 'male challenge for May' is another book. Ideal for Father's day!! Jeanette

L@@K - Saturday's Bargains

Well what a great shopping day I've had, and look at my bargains. 4 of the Penny Black stamps were only £2 each. The Zuter 'Round-ItAll' and it's case was £3. The scrapbooking 12" x 12" papers were 10p each and some are double sided. Got lots of other clear stamps, embellishments, lace, flowers and embossing folders. Wow I can't wait to get started on them!!! Bye for now. Jeanette

Guitar Boy - Male Month Challenge

Not a good day today, a check up at the dentist revealed that my broken tooth can be saved but will require a crown and omg how expensive is that! So it will require two visits some time next month. So for my card today. Yes I know I've shown this card before but not in my 'male month challenge' and to honest I love this image and never get fed up with colouring it. This time I've tried to give him army green trousers. The backing paper is so suitable for males and I often use it, I've also I've added a guitar charm. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Buttons Galore

My partner Terry works away from home from Monday to Friday and he usually tries to bring me back a lil pressie, sometimes it's packets of seeds, perhaps a DVD I've hinted about, scented candles in jars (great for storage when finished) and sometimes a big tub of pear drops (hence the loss of some teeth!!), but this week it was lots of buttons. He had bought me some a few weeks back and I was over the moon with them and he clearly took the hint. Hmmm what can I hint about next........... Jeanette

Football Crazy

I'm not really into football very much. I didn't mind when I was younger but some how it irritates the life out of me now. Terry loves football, so whilst he's sloping off in front of the tv I'm in my craft room, quietly on my laptop shopping for more craft goodies that I don't really need and perhaps will never use....................well I don't want to spoil them do I! I've not been able to go to aquafit tonight as I hurt my foot at aerobics last week and it's still like a big elephants foot. God knows what I've done to it. Gotta rest it before my hols. Bye for now. Jeanette

Son's Birthday Card

Hello, I wanted to put an age on this but couldn't remember if you could drive a scooter at 16 or 17, so to play safe I opted to put 'son' on it instead. Anyway keeping up with my own personal challenge here is the next male card. Jeanette

Male Teenager Card

I really like this image and thought this fits this months challenge perfectly. I'm going quite well at the moment but already running out of ideas!!!! Oh no not so soon!!! Lol..........see you tomorrow................. I hope. Jeanette

Michelle's Birthday

So here is Michelle's birthday card ready for tomorrow. I've given her strict instructions not to view the blog today so that it doesn't spoil the surprise. We've just got back from the Garden and Craft Fair at Kingston Lacy, and bumped into a few stall holders I know. It was nice to catch up with them again as I've not seen them since not doing Wimborne market. Anyway it was a lovely afternoon and the thankfully the sunshine stayed out. I will be posting later this evening another 'male' theme card to keep up my challenge! Bye for now. Jeanette

Football Concertina Book

Well this will be a quick post as the grandchildren have just turned up. So keeping up with the challenge I completed this book. I thought afterwards that I should have coloured the pages to make them more vintage looking line the paper. Next time. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Male Month Challenge

Well here is the 1st card of the 'male month challenge' that I've given myself. Oooh I do like a challenge!! So anyway, I've had this stamp for yonks and didn't quite know what to do with it. I'm not entirely happy with the colouring of the balloon. It looks like something a child has coloured in and I clearly need to work on this. I have rounded the edges of the balloon to give dimension, not sure you can see that in the photos. Still at least I've made a start. I realised today that although I given myself this challenge I have actually nearly run out of card stock....tut tut. Best go make an order! Jeanette
PS: This reminds me of the balloon ride I went on - fabulous experience.

A wish For You

Well this is the final card for April, just before the 'Madness of May' begins. I think I have set myself a huge challenge to do only 'male' cards/books during the next month, I've already started searching high and low for ideas. With this card the image again was part of a blog candy win which has been coloured, glittered and a little glossy accents on the leaves. Terry got me the buttons when he went out bargain hunting in the local £1 shop near where he works. Love these buttons. The sentiments is from Hero Arts. Card and paper from stash and the punch is from Martha Stewart. Hope you like it. Jeanette

The 1st Mess

Well here it is, the mess I said I would create using the Tim Holtz ink pads. Like the promarkers, I'm just not 'getting it' yet, but I will not give up until I've mastered the art of using them. The stamp is from Hero Arts. Well they say 'practise makes perfect' - so I'll put that theory to the test! Look out for mess number 2. Jeanette

Bloomin Best Friends

So as I said yesterday, I shall be posting some cards for awhile and here is my first one. However I did come up with an idea which I may get bored with but I'm going to give it a go. Each month I've decided to pick a theme or subject and make cards, books etc with that in mind. So for the month of May I'm going to have a 'Male Month'. I may do the extra 'off the subject' item just in case you or I get bored!!! Here's today girly card. The image was one of many images I won in some blog candy some time back. The backing paper is from Crafts House called mini fancies and I added some odd buttons from my stash. Sentiment stamp is from Penny Black. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Floral

Hi, well I controlled my spending on Saturday at the Craft show at Shepton Mallett. I was really looking for some specialist 12" x 12" papers for my books but couldn't find anything that really grabbed me so promptly went home and ordered them all from Capture The Magic!! However I did buy some Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads and not sure how to use them, so I'm expecting to make some kind of mess in the near future. Bargain of the day were the Promakers, so bought some more to add to my collection, although I'm still rubbish at using them. Went to see my friend Janine whilst in Somerset and she remarked 'not another book' so just for her 'here is one I made earlier' and promise I wont show anymore for awhile. She clearly is getting bored with them now lol!!! I have made Michelle her birthday card ready for the 4th of May (for a Star Wars fan, that I am, this was the perfect day for my daughter to be born.....May the 4th be with you....ha ha) but best not post it yet. Bye for now. Jeanette

Floral Concertina Books

Well as I mentioned in my earlier post, here are a few more books with a flowery theme to them. Hope you like them. Jeanette

Taylor's Birthday

It's birthday time again, and although I've not made cards for ages and ages I did make this one earlier this year. He's not a very sporty lad but he does like his music, so hoping he will like this card. Hope you do too. I'll be back later with some more concertina books. Bye for now. Jeanette

Concertina Books

Helloooooooooo, I'm back! Just finished a second week working away from home and at last life can get back to 'normal', whatever that is!
Got home on Friday only to realise I had a little craft fair to do on Saturday morning, so it was a frantic few hours trying to make some extra books. As Upton House was quite successful, it left me very few books. I can't remember the last time I made a card. These books have taken over! So I'm now going to bombard you with some photo's of a few I've been working on over the weekend and the last couple of evenings. These have been done in between housework, gardening, working, and aerobics, in other words any spare second I get.....I'm sure you know what I mean.

The first two books are of a 'love, wedding, anniversary or valentine' theme. A lovely lady named Caroline asked for an anniversary book but realised I'd sold all the others thatI had, so this was my first mission. More on the way later.

Well I have lots more to post but for some reason Blogger seems to be taking ages tonight and I've finally given up. So will post some more tomorrow. Bye for now. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Girly Theme

I thought I might as well post this book too as I may be too tired tomorrow after a day doing my garden duties. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Concertina Book - Football Theme

Hello, not posted much recently as I have been away working. The craft show at Upton House was quite successful and I'm having to make a lot more books. It was nice chatting to the people and got quite a few new ideas in doing so. I'm looking forward to the one in August. Now that the weather has brightened up I've started some long over due jobs in the garden. Put some more potatoes in today, and started some spring onions and lettuce's. Tomorrow I shall be back out there again. So here is one of the books I finished tonight. Hope you like it. Jeanette
