Christmas treats

Some how I think Father Christmas is spoilt for choice tonight. We've been busy last few days baking and making. Finishing off today making jam tarts and decorating fairy cakes. Though I lost my little helpers after a while to their new lego from their Father Christmas visit to legoland yesterday.

I'm sure all this will not last long in our house.

Gingerbread House

The boys wanted to make a gingerbread house. I cheated a little by buying a kit (sorry mum) but got lots of sweet treats to decorate. We had extra dough left over and I got creative making trees. The boys enjoyed decorating it and getting messy.

Christmas hot chocolate

This evening I've been frantically finishing off gifts for the boys friends at school. They asked to hand out gifts to some of their friends and mummy couldn't resist a challenge, gifts on a shoe string budget. I decided to make ingredients for a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. Great for a Christmas Eve treat before bed. I used disposable icing bags. Each bag has a cup measure of hot chocolate granules, with some chocolate chips and marshmallows. I made a tag using my nestabilities. I tied the tag and a candy cane to finish them off. Just hope the boys are pleased with them now.

Snowmen

Here are the last of some Christmas cards I've made this year. These are for my yummy mummy friends at the school. I used an image that I've had for sometime and never used. I think it may have been a freebie. I coloured using my pro markers. All the papers and embellishments are from my stash

Christmas wreath

A few weeks ago whilst having one of my huge tidy and clear out days I came across a box. Inside the box were the heart wreaths from my wedding. I decided I didn't want to part with them but need to put them to some use. Here is one wreath I up cycled. I took off all bits I originally had on there, glittered the wreath with stickles. The believe sign was actually a tree decoration and the ribbon was from my stash box. All are items I had and recycled. I have a plan for a couple more but they will have to wait until the new year now. So watch this space and I will share with you all once the next project is done. I hope you like. Michelle xx

Frosty the Snowman

This year I decided to let the kids have a Christmas tree in their playroom but oh no not just any old tree decorated with usual baubles, had to be something special. Ta dah......

Meet Frosty the Snowman. The children love it. Though they did make a comment "mummy why is his head bald?"!!

Happy Birthday to you

It was a friend of mine little girls birthday the weekend and Harley was invited to her build-a-bear party as they are good friends at school. I used an image I have had for ages and never used, coloured using my pro marker but need to practice as a little rusty. Using ribbon, paper and card stock I have stashed away to embellish the card. The sentiment is from pink petticoat. I hope you like. Michelle xx
