Had my final day off work today before Christmas so I decided to make a gingerbread house for my grandsons. I've not made one before and found it great fun. Not like decorating a cake at all, just stick all the sides together with royal icing and just had sweets, chocs & biscuits any where you like. Good thing is any bits left over you can eat!!! Hope you like it. Jeanette
that is so brilliant. i am sure your grandsons will love it! wonder how long they will take to eat it? x
ReplyDeleteDid you make it from scratch? I bought a kit for a gingerbread house yesterday. Great minds! Yours looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteA kit....a kit!!! Are you crazy. No I did not use a kit, you should know me beter than that. I got this from BBC Good Food. You can download the template and the recipe whichis more than enough to make the house. I even got a couple of gingerbread men from it. Get Rags to try it and put the kit on freecycle!!!
ReplyDeleteFreecycle! Freecycle! are you mad. I know it's Christmas but I am far to stingey to do that! But I will have a look at BBC Good Food and see what I can do. Thanks for the tip.
