Time for Tea

I've have part of a Japanese tea and coffee set that my uncle brought back many moons ago from Japan. Lots of it got broken over the years but I kept the best bits. With the cups if you hold them up to the light you can see a Japanese lady, it's very clever. I decided to have a go at making some rolled flowers. They look a bit like roses and I assembled them into one of the cup and saucer. Here it is:

I lightly edged the flowers with gold ink to match the cup and these will be on sale at my next craft fair. Well they may as well go to a new home before anymore get broken.

So Where Have I been...............

Well you may ask!
Firstly I went on holiday to the lovely Devon:

Beautiful at Westward Ho! A view from our chalet.

Sad as it may sound I finished off Tillie-Belle's cardigan that I've been knitting:

It's a beautiful pastel green colour. Photo is rubbish!

Then on my immediate return my friend Julie and I ran the Race For Life.

Well okay we walk it!

Then it was Tillie-Belle's first birthday and I remembered a Care Bear cake tin that I've had for over 25 years and here it is.

Then it was back to work boooooooohooooooo

A Wise Old Owl

Well this is not an old owl but my new 'owl' image from Dilly Bean that I chose. Isn't it cute. At first I wasn't sure how I would colour this image, it looked quite complicated but once I'd broken it down into sections it was a doddle.

I used Promarkers to colour and diecuts for the background and used Magic Flourish Die from Memory Box and used it to represnt a branch and added flowers and candi dots.

Going Dotty

I was really please to have been chosen a winner at Dilly Beans Challenge blog last week and made a selection of images as my prize.
Here is one that I've chosen and couldn't wait to colour it.

This image is called Crinkles Daisies Frame. Isn't it cute.
I used Promarkers to colour the image and added a layered flower, lace and candi dots.
