Happy Bird-day

Here is a card I've made for my friend Gina whom I haven't seen for years but we still keep in touch. The stamp is from 'Whipper Snapper Designs'. I've coloured the image in Whisper pens, hi-lighted the beaks and stars with glossy accents. The sentiment has been hand written. The backing paper was given to me by Jo. When I get more time I'm going to try and do a bit of decoupaging on this image. I hope you like it.

To A Happy Couple - Anniversary Card

Here I've used the Sugar Nellie image of a very cute couple. The paper was again given to me by Jo. I've coloured the image with whisper pens and added a couple of flowers with a heart button. The front sentiment was stamped in StazOn. This is such a cute image. Hope you like it.

Fifi - Stampingbella

I'd not seen this stamp previously so was really please when I managed to buy this one. It's very versatile, as I have used it for many female birthday cards. I've used Dovercraft backing paper, used a sunshine eyelet, and on the image I used glossy accents on the girls hair as well as on the poodles pom poms. Hope you like it.

Stitch & Craft Show

Went to a Stitch & Craft Show on Saturday with a very dear friend of mine, Janine (who incidentally laughs at me having a blog) and was quite disappointed, especially when there were stands selling...beds...woodcutting tools....food..???? If I'd wanted to buy these sort of items I would have gone to a Home Exhibition, so I don't think I'll bother with the next one. But not all was lost as I did manage to spend some time with Janine after and here I am in her new (old) car. She took me out for a ride in it, it was just like Thelma and Louise gone wrong. It rattled, shaked and made you realise how today's cars had actually become very luxurious. No need for air con in this car. What great fun! Terry......I want one!

Goddaughter Card

I very quickly made this card in between doing some baby books tonight. I have been asked quite a few time for 'goddaughter & godson' cards so here one to start with. The stamp is 'Penny Black', the paper was given to me by Jo at Wimborne market (thanks again), with various pieces of card stock. The wording was produce by the pc with a little bow embellishment and ofcourse I've used some glossy accents on the umbrella and raindrops. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Baby Boy Book

Here is another one of my books I made tonight. I don't know what it is but there seems to be more baby boys born than girls, as I seem to make more boy books than girls! I quite like the pale blue and lemon together, as this gives a real fresh look. I've used various embellishments, paper and card stock. These books are quite easy to make but they are extremely time consuming. I should have really been reading my notes ready for my exam next Wednesday but ............I got that crafting urge again!!! Hope you like it. Jeanette

Various Birthday Cards

Had a disastrous evening class tonight, couldn't remember a thing after having the Easter holidays and I've got to sit the exam next week.......nightmare, so I thought rather than getting in a state about it I'd chill out and make a few cards and here they are.
The 'Winnie Pooh & Piglet' stamp I think I 'borrowed' from Michelle quite some time ago. The stamp doesn't look much until you colour it up and then it comes into it's own. I've used glossy accents (a must have!) on the balloon.
Love the 'boy with the guitar' stamp, I think it's by Sugar Nellie, so cute. Hope you like them.

Mini Scrapbook

Just a quicky tonight. For a change here is another one of the 'mini scrapbooks' that I've made.

They've proved quite popular again today at Wimborne market, baby theme being the most favourable as they make the perfect keepsake or gift. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Mothers Day Card and Gift

I've been experimenting with old cds and my crop-a-dile big bite and have made this book for Blue's mums for mothers day and put photo's of all her grandson's in the book. I made her card using the girls about town images which I purchased recently. I coloured them with my new pens I brought from the craft show I went to with mum. Hope she like them.
Off to make my mums card now and some cards for saturday. We're doing a school easter fayre local to us.

Note Pads

Thought I'd have a go at making a couple of note pads, and here they are. Hope you like them!

Home Sweet Home

Yes another new stamp. This stamp is by Stampendous called 'Birdhouse Fence' and it seemed ideal for a new home card. I've coloured it with my Whispers pens using a water brush. Used crystal laquers for the centres of the sunflowers. The 'Home Sweet Home' sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and I used some wooden embellishments which have been lying around for about 6 years (honest). I think next time I'll decoupage some parts of it as I think it looks a bit flat.

Mmmm...chocolate

Yet another new stamp arrived today in the post and couldn't wait to get it stamped up tonight. I love this one it's such fun and I can think of lots of people I can send this one too. (All chocoholics ofcourse). It's from 'American Art Stamps', which I'm not familiar with. It's etched really well and stamps beautifully. I must investigate to see if they have any other fun designs.

Easter - Pink Petticoat

Well i've not put a post on in a while now and not even made any cards. Kids have been struck down with this cold going around. Poor little Lucas has suffered and still is with a nasty cough. Though this week I've managed to get back into the cards again. As you can see been busy making easter cards with pink petticoat images and papermania papers with ribbon and eyelets. As mum said we went to a show last friday. I was very good (only because I want my utility room finished so I can move some of my craft stuff out there. Blue and my dad are going to put an extra bit of work surface in for me once my kitchen is done) I did buy a few bits and as you can see one was the x-cut corner punch. I love it makes such a difference to the cards.

A Grand Day Out

Michelle and I went to the 'Make-It' craft exhibition at Farnborough last Friday. Oh dear, I'm ashamed to say that I did go over budget quite a bit, but there's so much I need....really!!! I got some embossing folders for my new 'second hand' cuttlebug die cutting machine and lots and lots of rubber stamps. Picked up some bargain 'Penny Black' stamps and some real cute 'Sugar Nellie' stamps (been wanting them for ages). Michelle had much better control than me. Been busy making cards with all my new toys, and I think I'll try the market again this Sunday. Haven't been for a few weeks, what with working away and being struck down with this damn flu bug again!!

New Stamps - Naughty but Nice

I just love these new stamps that I bought yesterday. I've only managed to get time to do a few. I did buy some more of the characters and can't wait to get them stamped & coloured up. I also bought a pack of the backing papers which are very bright & glittery.

Mother's Day Cards

With the snow at the beginning of the week and the kids driving me mad I took them for a walk in the snow to local newsagents. Whilst I was there, I couldn't help myself and brought a craft mag. It came with some free decoupage sheets. The mag itself wasn't very inspiring but the freebies were. So I got to work and made some Mother's day cards with the freebies and this is what I produced.

Pink Petticoat

Well after my friend Vicky talking about Pink Petticoat many months ago, I finally got round to purchasing some. I started to have a play around beginning of the week. These wedding one's I brought have made me decide I'd like to use these for my wedding invites when I finally get round to getting married! (In the process of chatting about dates at mo) I love the designs so simple but very effective. Will have to save my pennies to buy some more now, as I love all of the designs. Spent hours looking and deciding.

Developing Craft Room

Well especially for you Vicky, here is my room so far. I'm still trying to organise but keep finding things that I'd forgotten I had and then have to make a card! It is only a small space but at least now I can keep all my mess in one room. I have a huge cupboard as well and that is jammed packed and in the hall is another cupboard which I have taken over. I think I drove Terry insane with craft bits in the dining room, living room and sometimes in the kitchen. It's nice because I can get everything out and not have to put it away if I'm in a middle of a project. I have been patient though, I've only wait 7years for this!!

Valentine's Day

Not done much this week, come down with this cold that going around and has knocked me out. But I had a busy week last week making some valentine's cards for mum to sell at the market last weekend. Actually sold one which I didn't expect. Was nice though as it gave me the bug to make more cards until this cold hit me. Hopefully in next couple of days I can get back into it again.
