Summertime - At Last!!

Well there are still a few grey and white fluffy things floating in the sky but there is none of the wet stuff falling and that big yellow ball in the sky seems to be keeping it all at bay.....phew finally a bit of summer!
I'm suppose to be doing some housework this morning but got to the craft room and......well you know what it's like! I'll do it after lunch.......maybe.
So here is a quick card I made using PB image called Friends and I see that the PBSC has changed from weekly to monthly challenge which will probably suit me a bit better. I've missed the challenges quite a bit lately and to be honest they are one of my favourite stamps to use, so more chance of me finding the time to join in.
So here it is:

Promarkers to colour the image, glittered flowers, and little green bow used.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Summertime

Music Was My First Love

I love music, certain songs bring back good and not so good times but it seems that each song I hear it seems to bring back a certain time and certain people. I love 70's music. T Rex, Slade, Roxy Music, Rod Stewart the list goes on and some of them are still going strong. The 80's brought me some really fab times. This was a time I met some good life time friends and one of my favourite artist at this time was Kate Bush and I still love her music today. This track was from 1981 and reminds me so much of a great friend of mine. What a laugh we've had over the years mimicking the moves or I should say moo'ves!! Anyway it may not be your cup of tea but what a great artist she was! Lady Gaga........not a patch on Kate Bush!!
Anyway, here is my card for the 'Here Come The Boys' were you have to add a tag.
I've used an image which I think is called Mikey, which I've coloured with Promarkers, added some die cuts notes, music background paper and a few candi dots.
I'd like to also enter this card into the following challenge:
Hope you like.

A Pink Cardigan for Tillie-Belle

Here is Tillie-Belle sleeping through history. The Olympic torch passed through Upton/Hamworthy/Poole on Friday and here she is making her contribution.
I've just finished knitting another cardi for her although this is for 1-2 years old. I had to embroider lazy daisy stitches which I've never done before and talk about cutting it fine as the thread left on the needle was the only piece of wool I had left. Phew!!!
I still need to rinse it through and press into shape but we been decorating all weekend.
Okay, off now to start my next knitting project.

SUMMER - Where Are You?

Some very cheerful sole at the supermarket tonight informed me that the weather is not getting better until the end of August. END OF AUGUST! So bangs goes our lovely summer evening walks and a bag of chips down at the beach. I'm sure each year the summer is getting worse. Having said all that there are plenty of challenges this week with the 'Summer' theme so here is my card:
I think this image is from Pollycrafts which I have coloured with Promarkers. My colouring is still very amateur but to be honest I've not had much time to watch any tutorials but I do really need to sort out the shading, skin tones and hair shades. Winter Woollies For My Girls

I went to Hobbycraft a couple of weeks ago and came across this beautiful wool on offer, so I bought enough to make my two granddaughters some warm woollies ready for the next winter. The wool is so soft and is a beautiful lilac colour. It didn't take very long to knit, so it's one down and one to go!

C.R.A.F.T.Challenge 163 - Summer

This week over at C.R.A.F.T the theme for our challenge is Summer and for those of you in the UK that is when the sun comes out, shines and then we complain we are too hot!! Not this year it seems. I thought with the recession  more people would have their holidays in the UK but I'm sure they quickly changed their minds!
So anyway we have some great sponsors again this week, they are:
Sponsor 1:  Sassy Studio Designs
The prize for winner 1 is 4 digis of choice from their shop.
The prize for winner 2 is a $10 USD Gift Voucher good on the three creators below within the Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps Shop. StitchyStamps Floppy Latte  Designs Reeces Scrap Pieces
Sponsor 3:  Bugaboo Stamps
The prize for winner 3 is 7 digis of choice
Sponsor 4: Fantastic Ribbons

For my DT card this week I have used a Bugaboo image called JJ Gardening and this looks a bit like me in my garden (well not much this year but I'm not going on about the weather again!).

So I've basically kept to red, green and yellow, nice summery colours. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and added some swirls around the image to give it an 'overgrown' feel. Some bright red punched flowers with gems in the centre and a couple of small butterflies.

I'm Late, I'm Late - For A Very Important Posting

Sorry All but I am so late posting this weeks DT card for C.R.A.F.T. but I have been away helping Michelle with Tillie-Belle and the boys but now that things are settling down and Michelle is making a slow recovery I'm hoping to get back to 'normal'!
Here is my card for this weeks challenge:

This week we are sponsored by:
Sponsor 1:  Digital Delights
Sponsor 2:   CraftsuPrint
Sponsor 3:  Trimgym's Digistamps and Images
Sponsor 4:    Fantastic Ribbons

This week I've used an image from Digital Delights which is a free download and called Rowena the Fish. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used a little glitter glue to give it a slight shimmer. I cut out a couple of swirls from the back ground paper and lifted and put over the fish to give 'wave' feel. Added some clear gems for bubbles and cut a wavy line at the top of the back ground paper which I've edged with gems too to make it to look like waves. Bye for now
