Monochromatic and Sparkle

My lovely partner Terry retired from work today after working for over thirty years for a local authority, of which ten years has been working away from home and travelling thousands of miles on motorways, he can finally put his feet up...(cough cough) not so likely!!!! In the New Year he'll have plenty of jobs to do. I've yet to give him my list but finally we can have a 'normal' live together. Anyway over at Fussy and Fancy Friday challenge they have a Monochromatic and Sparkle theme and here's my card. Paper from stash, TH swirls in glitter card. The image is from Rubber Stampede called Santa Collage inked with TH Distress inks Tea Dye. Cya later. Jeanette

Anything But A Christmas Card

Well this is not a card but another book turned into a Christmas Tree so I hope this qualifies. This is the last tree I had left over from all that I sold at the Christmas crafts fairs this year. I found that I actually preferred the larger funky bows but people still love the smaller bows that are traditional colours which are the ones that sell first. I'm entering this into a new challenge I came across yesterday and they are celebrating their 1st birthday: Sparkles Forum Challenge - Anything but a Christmas Card. See you later. Jeanette

Fuzzy and Warm

At House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge the theme is Fuzzy & Warm and so I drag out one of my favourite images. They are so cute. I've used water colours to colour and added white pen to add in the snow. Backing paper from stash - I'm trying to use up some of the off cuts from other projects but it will take a life time to get through the box, you know how it is.  Byew for now. Jeanette

Oh No Not Another Christmas Card

Yep, just couldn't resist it, another Christmas card. I should be finishing off my granddaughters knitted cardi but I have the card making bug. I promised myself to try and finish it before she arrives here Boxing Day (can't wait to see her) so that I can start my next knitting project for Lucas and then it will be knitting for the next 'new arrival' which will be in June. Anyway at Charisma Cardz Challenge the theme is 'Anything Goes' and here is another pink Christmas card with a 'button Christmas tree' Bye for now. Jeanette

Anything Goes

Over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog the theme is Anything Goes. I've started thinking about making cards for my family and friends for next year and here is one for my little niece.  She's really into her horse riding and has still got the card that I made her last year that had a decoupage horse on it. This is a Whipper Snapper image which has been coloured with Promarkers.
I'll also be entering this card as a second entry at I Love Promarker - Anything Goes
On to my next card then!

Anything Goes - But Still Another Christmas Card

My long term partner doesn't do Christmas much - well that's not really true - he loves it really, it's just all the family and kids get in his way. He would much prefer to sit quietly, in front of the TV. Last year he was very poorly, suffering a lot after an op and so didn't enjoy Christmas at all, so this year he is looking forward to it. I've collected a few items for him with the theme of 'Bah Humbug' as a joke - there's a black Christmas hat and napkins with Bah Humbug on and a black bauble on the Christmas tree that simply says 'dont do Christmas' and so when I saw this free download image from Dude Time Doodles, I just couldn't resist carrying on with the joke. I hope he's not looking!
I've coloured the image with Promarkers and the background paper is from my new Steampunk CD.
I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
I Love Promarkers: Anything Goes
Creative Inspirations: Anything Goes
I hope he likes it and makes him laugh!

Kids Christmas

Over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog the theme is Kid's Christmas. so I was searching around for something suitable and came across some Scooby Doo stamps that I bought in a sale at the beginning of this year. Oh my word, if you could see what I have found stashed away and which has never been used.....it's a disgrace.  So here is my card for this challenge:

I used Promarkers to colour and the rest is from stash - I love Scooby Doo.

White On White Challenge

Here is a white on white card. I was inspired by Bev's  (DT) card at Creative Craft Challenge where she had only used shades of grey on her snowman and thought I'd give it a try. I've used two different embossing folders, used fluffly wool around the edges, Promarkers to colour the snowman and stickles to finish.
Hope you like it
Jeanette

Light Up Christmas

Here are our lights this year. You can't really see them too well but there are two trees with flashing lights and a snowman that lights up too. The bright blue lights really light up our road and it looks great from inside as it feels like daylight behind the blinds. Jeanette

We Woof You A Merry Christmas

Over at Moving Along With The Times their challenge is 'Cats & Dogs' and so I've used this great image (I have no idea who to give the credit too) which I have coloured with Promarkers. Background paper from stash, added punched snowflakes, candy dot and stickles along the edges.
Hope you like it

A First For A Steampunk Theme

I've been feeling the need for quite some time to try a little 'steampunk' themed cards, so whilst I was at a recent craft fair I was inspired by the lady next to me ( Helen) who was into steampunk and made fab photo frames and jewellery and it set me off. So as it was her birthday on the Monday I decided to try out my first 'steampunk' card, and here it is:
I hope she liked it. I swopped a Christmas Tree Book for some vintage watch faces, springs, cogs etc with her and now I dont want to use them....lol - got stacks of paper because I dont want to use them - well they are all my favourites! So inspired by this I bought a CD full of images, backing paper etc so expect to see some more of this theme. I'm entering this card into the following challenge:
The Crafty Pad - Anything but Christmas
I've still got one more very important Christmas card to make - watch this space!

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch

It's sketch time over at Cute Card Thursday and it's been sometime since I've followed a sketch and also I have not stamped an image on this card, so I hope it's acceptable. All the elements for this card has come from my stash. The Christmas boot was either candy or a challenge I had won and I really quite like it, perfect for the girlie's.
Sorry about the quality of the photo, I should have taken the picture in daylight.
Hope you like it.

I Love Promarkers - Anything Goes

Over at I Love Promarkers the theme this week is Anything Goes which basically mean you're spoilt for choice! Hmm so what should I do for this one and I decided to stick with the Forever Friends Cosy Christmas Collections as I was in the mood for colouring.I tried putting little dots on the blue scarf to make it look like it had been knitted. I think it works. Add a couple of snowflakes with gems in the centre, MS border and a little piece of organza ribbon to given it a bit of sky feeling.
Hope you like it
Jeanette

Sarah Hurley Challenge - Buttons

So hopping around this afternoon I came across Sarah Hurley Challenge and the theme is buttons. This year I've made lots of cards with a button Christmas tree so I thought it may suit the theme nicely!
I've cut a triangle shape for the main tree and covered it with some strips of pages from an old book and then used Mod Podge to give glitter and to seal it. Then I had fun adding the buttons. Cut a length of card for the trunk, added a star and there you have it!
Hope you like it.
Jeanette

Christmas Is Coming

Over at Forever Friends Challenge the theme is Christmas Is Coming - and all too quick for my liking!
This image is from the Cosy Christmas selection...aww. I coloured with Promarkers and used flower soft for the hat and glamour dust of the edge of the gloves. Added a star, gem and TH swirl in gold glitter card.
Hope you like it.
Jeanette

So the christmas tree is made from an old unwanted book which I have given it a coat of Mod Podge sparkle but the photo doesn't show it but it's brilliant stuff and can't stop using it.
