Mini Photo Book

Here is a mini photo book. They only measure 8cm square. The inside sheet is made from a 12'' x 12" is scrapbooking page. It is folded and cut in such a way that you end up with the pages patterned on both sides. It's a very clever idea. I'm started to panic now though because I'm not sure I have enough variety of books for this weekends craft show which I'm there for two days. I've been told the weather is not going to be very nice. Which perhaps is good in some ways, because people may come and visit but in others may not bother going out. On the other hand if it's nice and sunny they may well all go off to the beach. I know where I would like to be if the sun's does come out!
Good News!!! Terry and I was talking about buying a new camera on Saturday and would you believe it Terry won on the Thunderball - got four numbers which was £100!! Whoop whoop. I've not had a go yet but hopefully my pictures might improve. Jeanette

Krafty Kows Card Stand

This is in fact full of 'Concertina' books and 'Baby' word books and not cards and this is only half of the books that I've made over the last 6 weeks. I think my next project is to make my little 'star' books which is made with a 12"x12" sheet of paper. Little girls seem to like these. I'm also going to try and do some more note books and 'sticky notes' holders. I'll try and post some in the week. Jeanette

Baby Word Book - Girl

Here we are with another 'Baby' word book. I've been busy this week filling my evenings making books in prep of 'Upton House Craft Show' next week weekend. Unfortunately I'm not able to sell any cards as there are others already selling them.
I've also managed to find the time today to completed for our board for the card stand and for the moment have used it as our 'header'. These books do take me hours to make but you do get a sense of satisfaction when one gets completed. I'm hoping the people will like them. I hope you like it. Jeanette

Birthday Concertina Book

Just got in from a great night out. Been to the BIC in Bournemouth and just seen The Three Degrees, the Drifters, Four Tops & The Temptations. Although I was never a great fan of the Three Degrees I thought they were quite good and you forget how many great songs they made. The Drifters were good too but just like The Four Tops and The Temptations there is only one original member left in each of these groups and then I suddenly felt old! My fav's were The Four Tops tonight I think. I remember in the 70's shaking hands with Levi Stubbs at Hammersmith, poor fellow has gone off to the great big sky of Motown along with all the other great giants. Oh god I'm feeling a little morbid now!!
So anyway on to crafts bits 'n' bobs, earlier this week I made this birthday book just so I could try out my new nestabilities. Great for any age I think. Hope you like it. Jeanette

Handmade Photo Book

Here is a book that I've been working on. It's taken me awhile as my evenings are back to keep fit & aqua fit in prep for my hols! The papers are Laura Ashley, various card stock from my stash and some embellishments. The back and front cover are from good quality mount board so they are nice and sturdy and their are 5 pages inside. Hope you like it. Jeanette

It's Arrived!!

The door bell went and I rushed to the door and the postman handed me over my 'special' parcel. Was this it, was this my first blog candy win.........................yes it was. I was like a child, couldn't wait to open it and go through everything. There's so many items I just didn't know where to begin. So the first thing is to say thank you again the Lisa for your generosity and so tonight I made a card out of some of the items I won. I hope you like it. Jeanette

Penny Black - Ballerina

Hello - and yes yet another Penny Black bargain won on ebay. This was one of two stamps that I won for £5.00 in an auction. The other stamp is a real cute Halloween image which I've been after for some time and can't wait to find the time and stamp it up....eventually - couldn't believe my luck! So here she is and I've used similar colour to the picture on the back of the stamp as this is the first time I've used her. I've added a few jewels to the ribbon in her hair, dress and shoes. The border punch is the usual....it's the only one I've got at the moment (broke my others) but waiting for a delivery of a new one soon!! Hope you like it. Jeanette

Simple Black & White Card

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

This weeks challenge over Penny Black Saturday's Challenge is to make an easel card, any image or sentiment. This is the very first time I've made an easel card I really enjoyed making it - I will definitely be making more.
For my card I used 'Bee Costume' Penny Black stamp, coloured by the whisper pens and a water brush. Glittered the wings and flower for added sparkle. Flower embellishment is from 'Painterly Petals'. Used 'ek success edger punch'. Flat back pearls, metal butterfly and bead flowers to finish The backing paper is called Spring Plaid but not sure of the maker. I hope you like it. Jeanette

Woohoo - Still Here

What a nightmare I've had. Finally shifted the cold I had. Thought I'd have a craft room clear out and put quite a lot of bits 'n' bobs on ebay.
Then the very next day was told I would have to work at one of our branches in Kent. Oh no I thought, all my auctions end the day I have to travel. Not much I could do but just hoped all would be understanding. After working 3 days at 10-11 hours long to get the job finished, and staying all alone in a hotel room (gots lots of images painted!) I was looking forward to going home lunchtime on Thursday. 18 miles from home the car broke down on the M27 motorway.....so a very very nice AA man did a temporary repair and finally got home 5 hours later!!
Tired and irritable I thought I'd quickly view the blog and do a bit of blog hopping......and what do you know....I'd won some blog candy from Lisa which was just a fantastic end to my day!
So no posting of cards this week but hopefully after I get my car fixed and the housework done tomorrow I can finally do a bit of crafting. Jeanette
